We'd rather ration that honestly than make the free tier useless — chat tutoring on its own already finds your weak topics and fills your Mistake Log.
No trial that silently converts, no card required to use the free tier, no feature removed from Free later to push you upward. If that changes, it'll be announced before it happens, not after.
£7.99 is set against what an A-level student can actually justify from a part-time job, not against what a tutoring agency charges per hour.
Yes — when Premium launches it'll be a rolling monthly subscription you can cancel from your settings page in one click, with no cancellation fee and no email you have to send to a support address. You'd keep Premium access until the end of the month you've already paid for, then drop back to the Free tier with your data intact.
None of this is live yet. There's nothing to cancel today because there's nothing to subscribe to today.
One press of the Submit for marking button on one written response. That sends your answer, the question, and the relevant mark scheme criteria to the marking model and returns a mark plus an AO-by-AO breakdown.
Ordinary chat messages don't count, no matter how many you send — asking the tutor "was that right?" mid-conversation is free and unlimited. Only the formal graded submissions draw from your daily allowance.
It's good enough to be useful and not good enough to be an examiner. In our own testing on a real AQA Business 25-marker, different strong models graded the same mid-level answer somewhere in the 14–17 range, and the same model re-run on separate occasions didn't always land on the same number.
So treat the mark as a band indicator, and treat the AO breakdown — which is the genuinely useful part — as feedback on structure rather than as a guaranteed grade. It will never replace your teacher marking your mock.
AQA Business (7132) at launch, mapped subtopic by subtopic across 3.1 to 3.6. We'd rather do one specification properly than six of them vaguely. More AQA subjects are planned once the Business content is genuinely solid.
Your account email, your checklist progress, your chat history and your submitted answers are stored so the app can do its job. Your chat messages and practice answers are sent to third-party AI providers for processing — that's unavoidable for an AI tutor, and it's set out plainly in the Privacy Policy.
We don't sell your data, and you can request deletion of your account and everything attached to it at any time.
The Free tier is the trial — it's permanent rather than time-limited, and it includes real AI marking, just capped per day. Since essentially every user is a student, £7.99 already is the student price.
